Q. How do I remove Vinyl Decal Stickers?

A. Vinyl Decal Stickers and Graphics that are applied to paintwork can be removed by heating with a heat gun or hair dryer (or park in direct sunlight). Use your finger nail to lift an edge of the sticker and then work across the surface. Note that overheating will result in more difficult removal as will not enough heat you will soon find the correct temperature for removal.

Removing Vinyl Stickers and Graphics from glass windows is easily done by using a razor blade scraper. Simply scrape the vinyl off the glass surface, do not cut into the vinyl as this can scratch the glass.

Once the vinyl is removed, use Prepsol or thinners to remove glue residue.

Q.Will the Vinyl Stickers or Graphics damage painted or glass surfaces?

A. Vinyl Stickers or Graphics will not permanently damage painted or glass surfaces. The Vinyl will actually protect the finish of the vehicle's paint or glass surface. Therefore if graphics or stickers are left on your car for a long period of time (more than 5 years outdoor exposure), the paint on the car will fade slightly, while the paint under the vinyl will not. This will cause a shadow effect once the vinyl is removed. Avoid this by maintaining the paint on your vehicle with wax!

Remember that highly recommend that you do not apply stickers or graphics to paintwork that is less that 30 days old. Solvents in the paint need time to evaporate and if a vinyl sticker or graphic is applied then solvents will not evaporate properly causing the vinyl adhesive to fail and also the paintwork to not look as it was intended.
